Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering leadership, friendship, and community involvement among college students. With multiple entities, including the National Housing Corporation and the Foundation, they strive to provide exceptional experiences for their members and alumni while supporting lifelong brotherhood.
Position Highlights:
Salary: $80,000 base (or commensurate with experience) with bonus potential

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable & Payable Management:
Oversee the processing of member dues, vendor payments, and financial transactions.
Implement and manage a streamlined, member-based billing system.
Operational Processes:
Develop and implement efficient financial processes to improve tracking, reporting, and compliance across all entities.
Create structured workflows for Group Exemption management and support resources for Chapters and stakeholders in completing their 990 obligations.
Fraternity Housing Corporation Accounting:
Manage financial aspects related to the Fraternity and the Housing Corporation, including budgets, expenses, lease payments, and revenue collection.
Prepare and monitor financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership.
Analyze financial data to provide insights on cash flow, revenue, and expenses.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Help develop annual budgets and financial projections by completing month end close process and accounts receivable tasks.
Monitor budget performance and recommend adjustments as needed.
Compliance & Internal Controls:
Maintain internal controls and accounting policies in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Manage audits, tax preparation, and external reporting obligations.
Assist in tracking and managing Group Exemption compliance and Chapter 990 requirements.
Qualifications
Experience:
5+ years of experience in accounting or financial management, ideally within a nonprofit or association.
Candidates should have sat for the CPA exam or be willing to do so.
Experience in property or real estate accounting is a plus.
Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA is a plus but not required.
Strong understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fund accounting principles.
Experience with technology integrations and financial system implementations to improve efficiency and reporting.
Experience with nonprofit accounting software preferred (e.g., QuickBooks, Blackbaud, Salesforce/Chapter Spot, Bill Highway).
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
