Best Equipment & Welding has been a leader in the design and build of steel fabrication applications for over 40 years. Their staff of skilled technicians design and fabricate steel structures for various commercial and industrial clients, including manufacturing, construction, pharmaceutical, warehousing, and transportation sectors. They are dedicated to delivering high-quality products and services to their clients while maintaining a supportive and collaborative work environment for their employees.

They are seeking a part-time HR Administrator (20-25 hours per week) to join their team in Indianapolis, IN. This role will support human resources administration, employee relations, IT administration, and support for their team of skilled personnel. The ideal candidate will have experience in HR processes, IT administration, and strong interpersonal skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • HR Administration and Consultation
    • Conduct new employee orientations and follow-up sessions.
    • Manage background checks and new employee checkpoints.
    • Coordinate annual and mid-year performance reviews.
    • Coordinate benefit plan enrollment and serve as brokers' contact point.
    • Organize quarterly employee meetings.
    • Handle employee relations issues professionally and timely.
    • Develop and update HR policies.
    • Assist in employee professional development.
    • Create and update job descriptions.
    • Oversee recruiting and hiring activities.
    • Serve as the contact point for high school internships.
    • Manage new employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • IT Administration, Support and Consultation
    • Oversee IT license administration.
    • Coordinate software and hardware procurement.
    • Serve as administrator for Zoom, Dropbox, and iM3.
    • Provide marketing and sales support for the company website and LinkedIn.
    • Handle IT service tickets.
    • Configure iPads for employees.
    • Provide software and technology consultation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • 2+ years experience in general Human Resources processes.
  • Someone with IT Administration experience is a plus. 
  • Experience in recruiting, new hire onboarding, and file management for employees.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage employee relations concerns.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in administrator roles for technology platforms.
  • Demonstrated initiative, conflict resolution, confidentiality, and professionalism.
