Bilingual Outreach & Enrollment Specialist

Our client, Jackson County United Way a nonprofit organization, that is driven to have accessible healthcare coverage for all Hoosiers is seeking a Bilingual Outreach & Enrollment Specialist in the Seymour, Indiana area. This region includes Jackson and Bartholomew counties.

This position pays an hourly rate of $14.00 -$16.00 per hour based on experience.

What you'll do:

  • Provide outreach and assistance to uninsured individuals within the community.
  • Assist with translation, interpretation, and enrollment activities.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate outreach, enrollment, and retention of uninsured individuals, families, and children.
  • Coordinate outreach activities, events, and enrollments for state and local assistance programs.
  • Provide resource support to individuals and families within the community.
  • Enjoy a flexible schedule and an ability to work with a fun, community-minded team
  • Maintain confidentiality of all personally identifiable information.

Are you interested? If so, you will need the following:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English and Spanish
  • A valid driver’s license and willing and able to travel within designated region.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite applications, as well as Zoom. 
  • Problem solver, critical thinker, and a good listener.
  • Exceptional time management, and verbal and electronic communications.

Other items that are nice to have, but not required to apply for this position:

  • Minimum 3 years’ direct service position.
  • Experience with Indiana Health Coverage Programs.
  • Experience with assistance programs.
  • Experience in the social services sector of nonprofits.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, community development, or business.
