Our client, Hoosier Hills Credit Union — named one of Indiana’s Top 3 Credit Unions by Forbes — is hiring a service-minded Accounting Manager for their corporate headquarters in Bedford, Indiana to help steer financial operations as they grow toward the $1 billion asset milestone.

 What You’ll Do:

  • Lead a team of 2–4 accountants, guiding daily tasks and growing their skills.
  • Oversee general ledger operations, ATM cash balancing, CUSO accounting, and secondary market loan reconciliations.
  • Own Accounts Payable, including vendor payments, corporate card expenses, and more.
  • Ensure GAAP compliance, support regulatory reporting (e.g., 5300 Call Report, FHLB Collateral), and assist in audits.
  • Drive process improvements in budgeting, expense management, and internal controls.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA preferred
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience; 2+ years of team leadership preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP; credit union/banking experience a big plus
  • Excel proficiency; Fiserv experience a bonus
  • A collaborative, down-to-earth leader with a "roll up your sleeves" mentality
